Science Fair 2010                                                                                                                  

  Cedros would like to congratulate all of the students, teachers, parents and administrators for an outstanding and successful Science Fair!  This year’s theme was Global Warming, and all the primary school students presented a variety of projects covering this very important topic.  The students used their class lessons along with original research to present their information and while some students conducted experiments, others demonstrated key scientific concepts by using models and displays.  The Science Fair allowed the students to show their grasp of finding, synthesizing and presenting scientific information in English while learning about how to protect our planet. 

  The Fair was organized by Rafael Lopez, the Science Lab coordinator, with the assistance of Elementary English coordinator, Luis Zepeda.  Presentations on various scientific topics were done by teachers Carlos Cruz, Jerome Douglas, Paul Jones and Oscar Cruz. The school also invited biologist Alejandra Alvarado, Coordinator of UNIVERSUM at UNAM to present information about natural disasters and climate change. 

  Many thanks are in order for the English teachers which provided guidance to the students and helped them develop their projects in class.  And of course this wouldn’t have been successful without the enthusiastic participation and hard work from all the students and support from their families.  Congratulations everyone!
